Outfit Postery

Guys, got a bit of a lol for you. When I was saving these pics, I found a folder on my laptop called Strip Outfit. I was like, 'What the heck is this?' I'd gone and saved this stripe outfit as strip outfit. All I can say, is thank heavens I didn't title the post 'Strip Outfit' although I'm sure my blog stats would have gone off their rocker for all the wrong reasons! I snapped this lot below with my new Canon 50 mm 1.8 lens (no idea if you write it out like that.) This lens lets in so much light! I'd have to use the flash with the stock lens on my Canon 1000D. Not knocking that baby though, I love it. Oh and just so ya know, I'm not in the habit of wearing sunnies indoors at night ala plonker but felt this needed, a smidge of 'edge.' Anyways, I'm rambling. This is what I wore last night. Spots and stripes - rebel!

Surprises in the post

Hey hey, how was everyone's weekend? Mine was a ballet of emotions. It wasn't really, I just heard Will Ferrel say that in 'The Other Guys' which was pretty hilar. On Saturday, I bought a new lens for my camera and I am loving it! I'll probably hit ya with a review later this week. After I bagged the lens I bought twenty-five helium balloons which made for a perilous drive home sans rear window viewage! This was in aid of the first engagement shoot I've snapped. A sweet blog reader got in touch and asked if I'd shoot her and her fiance and I thought, heck, why not give it a bash, eh? Of course that would be the day for the heavens to open with horizontal rain and tornado style winds! We  pushed on with the shoot anyways and I had such a blast! (All this talk of 'blasts' and 'shoots' sounds a bit weird. We're talking pictures, not guns here for those skimming.) In other news, I received this delightful treat in the post last week. The folks from In Good Company sent me a 'Party in a Box' as a thanks for blogging about them. I'll have to throw a party and blog about that too now!

I bought a few things from The Space to cheer up my work desk. Among them are pink sweets and the Eiffel Tower. I also bought the bunny candle that many of you love too. What lives on your desk?

Happy Birthday Mooi!

On Saturday, Nadia and I popped into Mooi for their first birthday party. We really like to support Mooi because it's such a special store. I edited these pics with Sydney's awesome tutorial. Thanks, Syd!

Crowded House (Rocked the house!)

Cheesy title! So last Thursday, Cath, myself and our other halves went to watch the House or the geriatric  Kiwi's as my boss likes to call 'em! (Some of you may have been subjected to our maniacal tweets.) Both Cath and I are huge House fans and we have alot of special memories to their music. Before we even knew each other, we would both play the House in our best and worst times. One day when I was living in London, I collected a prezzie that Cath sent me across the seas. I attempted to surreptitiously open it on the train and as I tore off the wrapping, a million stars burst out the package onto everyone's feet! Inside was a 'Best Of' House mix by Cath and I was so chuffed! Anyway, when we got to the concert we summised that we were pretty much the youngest there by about two generations - 'twas a sea of 'mom jeans' and Pringle sweaters! Thus, we did what all obnoxious 'youths' do - purchase random flashing spiderman glasses. Then we wandered into the auditoriam and saw that everyone was seated - LAME! We were not up for that so when the House came on, we ran to the front and everyone joined in! It was epic! (Going wild with the exclas here) Then the craziest thing happened - Neil Finn saw our glasses and was like, 'Is that a South African World Cup thing?' We were like, 'Nope, just some random Spiderman merch!' Lols! Then he and the bassist asked to borrow our glasses for a song and it was hilarious. Cath and I basicially fell down dead with excitement. It was so awesome and to top it off, I also got a guitar pick and a shirt from Cath - thanks friend! Shew, are any of you also House fans? Did you catch 'em in SA?
