Our wintery getaway in the countryside

Tall One and I are back from our winter weekend in the Midlands! We stayed at Solitude again after having had such a great time there in autumn. On Saturday, we ventured up the mountains into Swissland Cheese because we knew the goats were due to give birth..but we didn't expect to see a birth in front of our very eyes! We stared in amazement as we watched four baby goats take their first steps. They were too precious for words. After wishing the goatlings a great first day on Earth, we popped into Piggly Wiggly for pizza and a nose around Rosewood, my favourite shop there. Tall One wants to open a competitive outfit next door and call it Higgledy Piggledy which destroys me every time I think of it! The rest of our time was spent napping and lazing in front of the fire. I am so in love with this part of the world, I wish I could take a gabillion pictures and bound 'em into a book. It's my ultimate dream, I tells ya! Hope you all had equally relaxing weekends? x

Peace, Love and Sunlight

As many of my Insta buddies know, my gran recently passed away. She was the sweetest, most humble creature you've ever met. I'm still trying to process it, and I'm still feeling sad but I'm trying to do little things to honour her memory...like making more time for my friends and family. Jennakins has also been going through a rather rough time and we decided that a wander in the winter sun would do us good! After some picture-snapping shenanigans, we went round to her mom's place and proceeded to watch this crazy show called Cake Boss. Now I am tucked up at home with Tall One, eagerly awaiting our Sunday roast to be done! Thank you to everyone who messaged me about my gran. Your words meant more than you know. We haven't even met and yet you guys wrote the sweetest things. Much love, friendships, much love. x PS: Will post Jenna's pics this week!

Reunited with my homeslice - @girlwithabum!

Ola! Two lifey updates to share on this chillos Sunday afternoon. 1. Jennakins and I are working together again! It's been so good having my old sidekick in the mix. She's got me noshing chia seeds. I've got her chucking randelas into savings! To commemorate our reunion, we decided to do some outfit postery ala the old days! I don't blog a lot of fashiony things anymore because for the last ten months, I have literally written about fashion from morning to night. By the time the weekend comes, the last thing I wanna do is scribble about skater skirts and statement bling! But... now that Jenna is around again, maybe we'll do more of these romps in the park. Check out our blogs tomoz for pics of her. 2. After making it through a thirty-day spend fast, I thought I'd turn up the heat and attempt a thirty-day sugar fast! In the last couple of days, I have somehow managed to decline a cupcake, speckled eggs, marshmallows and those amazeballs new Lindt chocs. Do not ask me how I have done this. I do not know. I thought I would have blown something up by now but I am hanging in there - probably because I'm still allowing myself to eat natural sugar in the form of fruit. And maybe a cheeky glass of red. Ok, there was one crumpet but that's it! PS: It was windy as sh*t when we snapped these.
