The last office cuppies

I was treated to such an epic send-off at work the other day. Flowers, balloons, prezzies, special collages and a surprise lunch complete with tequila shots. Aaaaaaaaaaaand....cupcakes! My, have we eaten a lot of cupcakes in that office. I am gonna miss our communal feasts! Thank you to my amazing team who spoilt me so much. I am beyond blessed to have worked with you cats. x

Spring has sprung! (Sort of)

It is technically Spring now in South Africa! I told Tall One I wanted to snap some flowers for Gloss and he replied, "The trees are still bone dry and dead." Ha. But I managed to find these little blooms, squeezing their way through a wall. They will have to do. x

Cocktail Night!

On Saturday, we had one crazy cocktail night! I'm not much of a cocktail drinker but I do love a good Cosmo and I'm always threatening to make them when I go camping but it's a bit of a mission so I'm chuffed to discover you can buy them pre-made in sachets now! The folks at Original Cocktails sent me this lot to taste and they were delish! Of course I had to chuck them into some jars with my usual slew of straws. Thank you Trace and Gordon for helping us mapp them. Baby Rachel was the guest of honour but she did not drink the cocktails, I repeat, she did not drink the cocktails! x

Alex the Great

I had the most scrumptious brunch with Jon's family yesterday. His sister-in-law is a bona fide baker  - jackpot! After we'd all tucked into plates of deliciousness, this little one awoke from his nap! Meet Alex - he's eleven months and the most precious little soul. He stares into Jon's eyes and I can't even compute the cuteness. Heartbreakers - the pair of 'em. Thank you Annabelle and Richard for a bang-up brunch! x
