Winter Cookin'

I made Chicken Casserole the other night and it came out flippen delicious! And I managed to not burn rice for the first time in my life - heck yeah! I love winter and all it's trimmings. x

Just another pair of hipster specs

Yup - hopping on the wayfarer trend - about three years late! I lost my old pair of specs in the great move back from the UK to SA. I can't believe I've gone three years without specs. Since I popped these puppies on, everything is so much clearer and crisper. (Ya don't say, hey Lauren?) Cheers to seeing things. And yes, I do feel kind of ridiculous taking pics in my bathroom. Almost as ridiculous as trying on 500 pairs of glasses in a store full of strangers waiting to have their eyes tested.

Saturday Afternoon: Easter Jam

On Saturday, I went to jam with two of my old band mates - Stef and Willie. When I was in college, we were in a band called Unstable Youth. Guess we'll need a more age-appropriate name this time round! I couldn't remember toffee on Saturday but it was still fun to make some noise for a couple of hours. Cheers Malcom for lending me an amp and pedal. Psyched for the next one. x

The weekend that autumn arrived

The temperature dropped this weekend and I know I’m close to enjoying the sweet satisfaction of this! So ten rad things about this weekend? 1. A home cooked dinner washed down with a cheeky glass of vino 2. Watching Knocked-Up in new, fluffy socks 3. Jumping around to Foo Fighters, System and Pearl Jam with Nads at Burn’s closing night. Hello whiplash! 4. Catching up with my old band mates and planning a jam for next Saturday – psyched! 5. A friend of mine coming up to me in the club and saying “I think I may have a girlfriend!” 6. Jamie reminding me of this song. 7. Eating soft serve with Nads in the middle of the night 8. Interviewing four super sweet creatives for some editorials I’m scribbling 9.
