Nikki, Taneal and I went to Roller Derby this evening! I thought we were just going rollerskating for Nikki's thirtieth but it was full-on, official Roller Derby vibes ala Whip It! I have never roller-skated in my life. I had a bash at the ice rink once but I couldn't leave the railing and I was too terrified to roller-blade as a kid but a lovely lady named Adrian, taught me how to skate tonight! Nikki and Taneal were total pros, I was hella impressed. Not sure if I'd aim for league level but I might have another whirl at some social skating - we shall see! Have any of you Roller Derbied before? x
