Wardrobe Swop

Yesterday, I went along to Wardrobe Swop! How it works is, you and everyone else brings 6 items of good quality clothing or accessories which you exchange on arrival for buttons. The goods are hung on rails in size catagories and you get to choose any 6 items which you pay for in buttons. But before the shopping begins, everyone tucks into cupcakes and cocktails for sustenance. Yum!

I'd heard how much fun the first Wardrobe Swop was but I was a bit reluctant to go to the second one. The thing is, I'm always nervous about going to fashiony do's because I have this silly belief that everyone is way more qualified to be there than I am. I know I natter on about clothes on Glossary but I feel much braver doing so behind my laptop than in person! Plus, I didn't have anything to swop. Pah! My wardrobe is pretty small and for now I have to hang on to the few 'good' bits and pieces. Well Nadia had emailed me to see if I'd like to tag along but I sheepishly said no. At 5:45 she rang and offered me some of her clothes to swop. What a doll! At the time, I was watching Lord of the Rings. In my jammies. It was time to leave the Shire! So off I went and what do you know, I had the best time ever and Nads and I were the last to leave. Ha! The vibe was super fun and friendly and I met lots of lovely ladies including Freshly Found. Nads treated me to this awesome polka dot top, thanks friend! I hope Durbanites don't mind me saying this but we really don't have alot of special nights-out like this so I really encourage you to pop along to the next one. Bring your mom, your bestie, your daughter - Wardrobe Swop is for everyone! To find out more, you can visit the Facebook group. See you at the next one! x
