Today is the first anniversary of the big London snowfall! I was so lucky to be there and it was one of the best days ever. I remember it so well. The day before was a Sunday and I was waiting for the bus outside Sainsbury's, hehe. Suddenly the temperature snapped and it was flippen freezing! I remember thinking, this has to be cold enough for it to snow, blimey. An hour from then, I was snuggled on the couch when I looked out the window and what do you know, beautiful white snow falling softly from the sky! I was sooo excited, I spent the evening running down the road like a complete nutter. It was so nice to fall asleep knowing that it was snowing outside and when we woke up, the whole ground was covered in thick white, powdery snow! It took us half an hour to crunch our way to the station but joy oh joy, none of the trains, tubes or busses were running. And so there we were, snowed in with nothing to do but make snowmen, drink hot chocolate and watch Friends with the heating on. So very fine!
Here are some pictures of the snow and the world's most random video. I wanted to record the snow falling for my mum because she had never seen it before. Thing is, blondie, only realised to turn the camera the right way, half way through, haha. So mum this video is for you. Believe it or not, the snow really is falling in this audiovisual treat. Enjoy!

Your last photo is a beauty. I have a lovely memory of an incident when I lived in Cheltenham for a short while, I woke up in the middle of the night and looked out the window to discover the garden covered in think snow. The best part was, there was a fox standing under the garden light just starring into the darkness. It felt like I was in movie. Thanks for reminding me of such an awesome experience. Have a lovely Tuesday.
